A school safety organization equipping parents, educators, and students with the tools for identity, resilience, and safety.
↓ Learn MoreShield USA exists to prevent violence in schools by equipping communities with tools for identity, resilience, and safety.
Many initiatives focus exclusively on physical security without addressing the underlying causes of violence. Others emphasize mental health while neglecting physical vulnerabilities. Shield USA closes that gap with a single, cohesive framework.
Physical security, prevention, and preparedness — working together rather than in isolation.
A structured model that begins with the physical environment and works inward to address social, behavioral, and response factors.
Every element of the Shield USA framework is grounded in research, field-tested practices, and real-world outcomes — not theory.
Shield USA carries zero political alignment. This work is about keeping kids safe — nothing else.
Shield USA secures the physical environment first, then addresses social and behavioral prevention, then prepares communities to respond effectively when it matters most.
Education around existing security infrastructure: deterrents, access control, and communication systems working in layers.
Education on identity, belonging, and early warning signs: giving parents and educators the tools to intervene before violence occurs.
Civilian response education aligned with nationally recognized standards: calm, practical, and structured for high-stress situations.
All presentations are non-fear-based, evidence-informed, and designed for civilian audiences. Shield USA does not replace law enforcement, EMS, or security contractors.
Live sessions for parents, educators, school administrators, and staff — covering all three layers of the Shield USA framework. From 60-minute parent nights to full-day staff trainings, each session is non-fear-based, evidence-informed, and designed to inform and empower civilian audiences.
Schools · PTAs · StaffHands-on small group sessions covering civilian response protocols (Avoid, Deny, Defend), bleeding control, Stop the Bleed certification pathways, and emergency communication. No prior training required. Rooted in ALERRT-certified methodology and built for real people in real situations.
Hands-On · Open to AllConsultative support for schools and districts seeking to align their safety planning with current best practices across all three framework layers. Includes school environment walk-throughs, threat assessment guidance, and ongoing advisory. Strictly educational — Shield USA does not replace law enforcement or licensed security professionals.
Districts · Administrators · BoardsShield USA exists because prevention-centered school safety education is one of the most underfunded and overlooked areas in community safety. We are not a security company. We are not law enforcement. We are an educational organization built to fill the gap between what schools are told to do and what communities actually understand.
The Shield USA framework draws from criminal justice research, behavioral threat assessment methodology, ALERRT-certified training, and direct experience in emergency communications. Every program is designed to be practical, civilian-appropriate, and free of political framing.
Shield USA operates strictly within an educational and preparedness role. All instruction aligns with applicable state and federal guidance. We do not replace law enforcement, emergency medical services, or licensed security professionals.
"Shield USA is designed to become a nationally recognized framework for prevention-focused safety education. Schools are the starting point. Communities are the long-term outcome."
